About the Sainik School (AISSEE) uploads
The All India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination (AISSEE) is a pen-and-paper OMR test run by NTA for Class 6 and Class 9 admission to Sainik Schools and approved New Sainik Schools. In the AISSEE 2026 form, three images were uploaded as JPG files: a passport size colour photograph (10 to 200 KB), the candidate's signature (10 to 50 KB) and the left-hand thumb impression in blue ink (10 to 50 KB). The date of birth certificate, the domicile certificate and any caste or service certificate went up as PDF files of 50 to 300 KB, which this resizer does not make. The fee is paid online after the uploads, and the confirmation page is the proof that the form was submitted. Recheck all of this in the AISSEE 2027 bulletin when NTA publishes it.

NTA sets no pixel size; 350 x 450 px is the standard 3.5 x 4.5 passport shape. |
| Signature | 500 × 200 px* | 10–50 KB | JPG | Official (7.1.5.2): the candidate's full signature in running handwriting, not in capital letters, black ink on white paper, JPG 10-50 KB. NTA sets no pixel size; 500 x 200 px is a default wide enough to reach the 10 KB minimum. |

*The notice fixes the KB range but not an exact pixel size, so the tool uses a suggested default that fits the range.

How to resize your Sainik School (AISSEE) photo and signature
- The Sainik School (AISSEE) size is already selected above. Switch between Photo, Signature, Thumb at the top.
- Upload a clear photo from your phone, or a scan or photo of your signature on white paper.
- Drag and zoom so your face (or signature) fills the frame. Use Rotate if it is sideways.
- For the signature, keep Clean background on so the paper turns pure white and the ink stays dark.
- Press Download JPG. The result shows the exact pixel size and KB, within the Sainik School (AISSEE) limits.
Tips so your Sainik School (AISSEE) upload is not rejected
- A photo where the face does not fill about 80% of the frame, the ears are hidden or the background is not white: applications with unclear photographs are liable to be rejected.
- Signing in capital letters: the bulletin asks for the full signature in running handwriting, in black ink.
- A smudged or faint thumb impression: unclear left thumb impressions are rejected.
- Uploading someone else's photo or signature: the candidature is cancelled and treated as unfair means.
- Use a recent colour photo with a plain light background and even light on your face, with no cap or dark glasses.
- Sign in black ink inside the space, and do not sign in capital letters unless the notice allows it.
- Open the downloaded file once to check it looks sharp before you upload it to the portal.

Sainik School (AISSEE) photo and signature FAQs
What is the photo size for Sainik School (AISSEE)?
350 × 450 px, 10–200 KB, JPG. The notice fixes only the KB range, so the pixel size is our suggested default. The resizer above is already set to this size.
What is the signature size for Sainik School (AISSEE)?
500 × 200 px, 10–50 KB, JPG. The notice fixes only the KB range, so the pixel size is our suggested default. Sign with a black pen on plain white paper and keep "Clean background" on.
What is the left thumb impression size for Sainik School (AISSEE)?
300 × 300 px, 10–50 KB, JPG (the pixel size is our suggested default; the KB range is official). Choose Thumb at the top of the resizer.
What kind of photo does the Sainik School form need?
A recent passport size colour photo on a white background, with the face filling about 80% of the frame and both ears visible, without a cap or goggles. Spectacles are fine only if the child wears them regularly. The 2026 bulletin preferred the child's name and the date of taking the photo printed on it, and did not accept Polaroid or computer-made photos.
What if my child's left thumb impression cannot be taken?
The bulletin allows the right-hand thumb impression in that case. Use blue ink on white paper, scan it, choose Thumb above and keep the file between 10 and 50 KB.
How do I make the certificate PDFs of 50 to 300 KB?
Scan or photograph each certificate, turn it into a PDF with the JPG to PDF tool on this site and check the size. If it is over 300 KB, run it through Compress PDF. Both work in your browser, so the documents are not uploaded anywhere.
Is the AISSEE 2027 photo size out yet?
Not when we checked on 24 October 2026: NTA had not published the AISSEE 2027 bulletin. This page uses the AISSEE 2026 figures, the latest official ones. Check the new bulletin when it appears, because the sizes can change.
Can I take the Sainik School (AISSEE) photo with my phone?
Yes. Stand facing a plain light wall in daylight, hold the phone at eye level and take a sharp, front-facing photo. Upload it here, drag and zoom so your face fills the frame, and the tool saves it at the exact pixel size and KB range.
How do I check the size of my file before uploading?
The result box under the preview shows the exact pixel size and file size in KB. On a phone you can also open the file details in the Files or Gallery app. On a computer, right-click the file and open Properties (Windows) or Get Info (Mac).
What if my file is smaller than the minimum KB?
Small images can come out below the minimum even at full quality. This tool then adds a harmless comment block inside the JPG so the file reaches the minimum size, while the picture stays exactly the same.
