3Ask on WhatsApp or SMS
Send one after the service, in English, Hinglish or Hindi. Your review link is filled in. "Share on WhatsApp" opens WhatsApp so you can pick the customer's chat.
Real sizes on A4 paper with cut lines. Print at Actual size / 100%, not "Fit to page".
Hold a blank NFC sticker or card to the back of this phone. Customers can then tap their phone on it to open the review link.
Ask every customer, not only happy ones, and never offer discounts or gifts for reviews. Google does not allow that.

Why a direct review link helps
Most happy customers mean to leave a review, but the steps put them off. They have to search for your business, find the listing and look for the button. A direct review link skips all of that. One tap or one QR scan opens the Google review box for your business, with the star rating ready to fill in.
For a salon, clinic, restaurant or coaching centre, asking becomes easy: share the link or point to the QR code on the counter.
How to get your Google review link
Option 1: the share link from Google Business Profile
Google gives every verified Business Profile its own review link. According to Google's help article Create a Google link or QR code to request reviews, the steps on a computer are:
- Sign in with the Google account that manages your business and open your Business Profile (you can go to
business.google.com). - Select Read reviews, then select Get more reviews.
- Select Copy to copy your review link.
Google sometimes changes these labels. On some profiles the button reads Ask for reviews or Share review form. The link is usually a short one, such as g.page/r/.../review. Google says its own review QR code can only be made on a computer browser for now, not on a phone. If you run several branches, each location has its own link.
Option 2: use your Place ID
Every place on Google Maps has a Place ID, a long code that starts with letters like ChIJ. To find yours, open Google's official Place ID Finder, type your business name in the search box, pick the right result and copy the Place ID shown on the map. Paste it into this tool and it builds this link for you:
https://search.google.com/local/writereview?placeid=YOUR_PLACE_ID
Google notes that Place IDs can change when its map data is updated, so check your link again once in a while, especially if you move or rename the business.
How to use this tool
- Paste your review link or Place ID. The tool shows the final review link it will use.
- Test the link. Open it on your phone and make sure it shows your business, not a similar name nearby.
- Style the QR code. Choose dot styles, colours or a gradient, and put a star icon or your own logo in the middle.
- Pick a print design. Make a review card, table tent or sticker. Choose a theme, add your business name and keep the line "Loved our service? Review us on Google" with the star row.
- Download or print. Choose Download PDF for real print sizes: an A4 poster or table tent, A5, an A6 insert for an acrylic stand, 75 or 100 mm stickers, or 89 × 51 mm cards, all laid out on A4 with cut lines. Print at Actual size (100%). PNG and SVG downloads are there too.
- Send a message. Pick a ready text in English, Hinglish or Hindi. Copy it, or tap Share on WhatsApp to open WhatsApp with the message ready and choose the customer's chat.
Everything runs in your browser. Nothing is uploaded, there is no sign-up and the tool is free. This tool is not made by or connected to Google.
Is it a review link or a profile link?
A common mistake is to copy the link from the Share button on Google Maps. That link, often starting with maps.app.goo.gl or google.com/maps/place, opens your profile page. The customer then has to scroll and find the review button, and many give up. A review link opens the review box straight away. It usually looks like g.page/r/…/review or contains writereview?placeid=. If you paste a profile link, the tool still makes the QR but shows a warning with the steps to get the right link. Always tap Test link on your phone before printing.
NFC review cards
Some businesses use an NFC sticker or card that customers tap with their phone instead of scanning. If you open this page in Chrome on an Android phone with NFC, a Write link to NFC tag button appears: hold a blank NFC tag to the back of the phone and the review link is written to it. Google's Chrome team documents this Web NFC feature as available in Chrome on Android, so the button is hidden on iPhones and computers. Test the tag with two different phones, and keep a printed QR next to it for phones without NFC.
Where to place the QR code
- Billing counter: a table tent next to the payment QR.
- Bill folder: a small card inside the restaurant bill folder or with the printed invoice.
- Delivery bag or box: a sticker on food parcels, medicine bags or the last carton from packers and movers.
- Waiting area: a framed card in the clinic or salon waiting area or the coaching centre reception.
- WhatsApp after service: send the link itself, since a QR code is hard to scan on the same phone.
Good ways to ask for reviews
Ask every customer, not only the ones who seem happy. Ask soon after the service, while it is fresh. Keep it short and polite, and say thank you either way. Reply to every review calmly.
The ready messages in step 3 follow these rules: they thank the customer, ask for honest feedback and offer nothing in return.
What Google does not allow
Google's prohibited and restricted content policy for Maps sets clear rules for businesses. Breaking them can get reviews removed.
- No paying for reviews. Reviews paid for in cash or in kind count as fake engagement.
- No discounts or freebies. Don't offer a discount, free item or free service in return for a review, for changing a review or for removing a negative one. "10% off for a 5-star review" is not allowed.
- No asking only happy customers. Google does not allow businesses to selectively ask for positive reviews or to discourage negative ones. Filtering customers first and sending only satisfied ones to Google (often called review gating) breaks this rule.
- No pressure on the premises. Staff should not push customers to rate or write a review while they are still at your shop.
- No scripts. Don't tell customers what to write or what rating to give.
- No fake or staff reviews. Reviews must come from real customers about real experiences, not from staff, family or multiple accounts.
Printing tips
- Print the QR code at least 2 to 3 cm wide. For table tents and counter cards, larger is easier to scan.
- Keep strong contrast: dark dots on a light background scan most reliably. Avoid very light gradients.
- Scan a test print with two or three different phones before printing in bulk.
- Use matte or laminated card for counters; glossy paper can reflect light.

Frequently asked questions
What is a Google review link?
It is a web link that opens the Google review box for your business directly. The customer taps it or scans the QR code, picks a star rating and writes a few lines. They don't have to search for your business or find the right listing on Google Maps, which makes leaving a review much quicker.
Where do I find my review link in Google Business Profile?
On a computer, sign in and open your Business Profile, select Read reviews and then Get more reviews, and select Copy. On some profiles the button is labelled Ask for reviews or Share review form. The link usually looks like g.page/r/.../review. Paste it into this tool to make your QR code and print designs.
What is a Place ID and how do I find it?
A Place ID is a unique code Google gives to every place on Maps. Open Google's official Place ID Finder, search for your business name, pick the correct result and copy the ID shown. Paste it here and the tool builds a link in the format search.google.com/local/writereview?placeid= followed by your ID.
Can I offer a discount to customers who leave a review?
No. Google's Maps content policy does not allow businesses to offer payment, discounts, free goods or free services in exchange for reviews, for changing a review or for removing a negative one. Such reviews can be removed. You can still ask every customer politely for honest feedback, as long as nothing is offered in return.
Can I send the link only to happy customers?
Google does not allow businesses to selectively ask for positive reviews or to discourage negative ones. Filtering customers first and sending only satisfied ones to Google, often called review gating, breaks this rule. Share your link with all customers, then reply to every review, good or bad, in a calm and professional way.
What size should I print the review QR code?
Print the code at least 2 to 3 cm wide, and bigger for counter cards and table tents. Use dark dots on a light background, keep the centre logo small and leave a clear margin around the code. Always scan a test print with two or three different phones before you print a large batch.
How do I get my Google review link without a Business Profile?
Customers can only review a business that is listed on Google Maps. If your business is listed but you do not manage the profile, find its Place ID with Google's Place ID Finder and paste it here; the tool builds a review link from it. If it is not listed at all, the review link has to wait until the business is added to Google Maps or you create a Business Profile.
Can the link open with 5 stars already selected?
No. The review link opens Google's review box, and the customer always chooses the stars and writes the review. No genuine link can fill in a rating, so do not promise customers or staff that it will, and treat any tool that claims to do so with suspicion.
Can I put my review link on an NFC card?
Yes. Any blank NFC sticker or card can hold the link. Open this page in Chrome on an Android phone with NFC turned on and use Write link to NFC tag, or use an NFC writer app on your phone. Print the QR code as well, because not every phone reads NFC tags.
