About the RBI Grade B uploads
Grade 'B' (DR) is RBI's officer-level direct recruitment, run by the Reserve Bank of India Services Board, and the Panel Year 2026 round covered the General, DEPR and DSIM cadres. If you want both General and DEPR or DSIM, you fill two separate applications and pay twice, so each one needs its own full set of uploads. Appendix-I asks for a photo, a black-ink signature, a left thumb impression and an English handwritten declaration, plus a live photo taken by webcam or phone. One quirk: the KB limits are given separately for each file (signature 10-20 KB, thumb 20-50 KB, declaration 50-100 KB), but the only pixel size printed for those three is one shared '140 x 60 pixels (preferred)' line. Uploading comes after you validate your basic details and before payment.

RBI Grade B photo and signature size (2026 notice)
| Upload | Size | File size | Format | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Photograph | 200 × 230 px | 20–50 KB | JPG | Recent passport size colour photo on a light-coloured, preferably white, background. No caps, hats or dark glasses; religious headwear allowed if it does not cover the face. 200 x 230 px is the notice's 'preferred' size (heading: 'Photograph Image (4.5cm x 3.5cm)'). JPG/JPEG. A live photo is also captured in the form. Same figures in the PY 2025 advertisement RBISB/DA/03/2025-26. |
| Signature | 140 × 60 px | 10–20 KB | JPG | Sign on white paper with a black ink pen. Signature in CAPITAL LETTERS is not accepted. 140 x 60 px is the notice's 'preferred' size. JPG/JPEG. |
| Left thumb impression | 240 × 240 px* | 20–50 KB | JPG | Official: left thumb impression on white paper with black or blue ink, not smudged (right thumb if no left thumb), JPG/JPEG, 20-50 KB. Unlike the RBI Assistant notice, this notice gives no separate pixel size for the thumb: its only 'Dimensions 140 x 60 pixels (preferred)' line sits in the combined signature/thumb/declaration block. 240 x 240 px (3 cm x 3 cm at 200 DPI) is our default, the size RBI's own Assistant 2025 notice sets for the thumb. |
| Handwritten declaration | 800 × 400 px* | 50–100 KB | JPG | Official: handwritten in English, in the candidate's own handwriting, on white paper with black ink, not in CAPITAL LETTERS, JPG/JPEG, 50-100 KB. The notice gives no pixel size for the declaration. 800 x 400 px (10 cm x 5 cm at 200 DPI) is our default, the size RBI's own Assistant 2025 notice sets for the declaration. |
*The notice fixes the KB range but not an exact pixel size, so the tool uses a suggested default that fits the range.

RBI Grade B handwritten declaration text
Write this in English, in your own handwriting, on white paper with black ink, then scan or photograph it and resize it with the Declaration option above:
I, _______ (Name of the candidate), hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required.
How to resize your RBI Grade B photo and signature
- The RBI Grade B size is already selected above. Switch between Photo, Signature, Thumb, Declaration at the top.
- Upload a clear photo from your phone, or a scan or photo of your signature on white paper.
- Drag and zoom so your face (or signature) fills the frame. Use Rotate if it is sideways.
- For the signature, keep Clean background on so the paper turns pure white and the ink stays dark.
- Press Download JPG. The result shows the exact pixel size and KB, within the RBI Grade B limits.
Tips so your RBI Grade B upload is not rejected
- If you submit more than one application, only the last completed one with the higher Registration ID counts, so that one must carry your photo, signature, thumb impression and declaration.
- Your uploaded signature is used on the Admit Card; if what you sign on the attendance sheet or Admit Card at the exam does not match it, you are disqualified.
- Capital letters are rejected in both the signature and the declaration, and a declaration not in English or not in your own hand voids the application.
- RBI may reject the form if any of the four images is blurred or smudged, so view each one after upload and replace it before submitting.
- Use a recent colour photo with a plain light background and even light on your face, with no cap or dark glasses.
- Sign in black ink inside the space, and do not sign in capital letters unless the notice allows it.
- Open the downloaded file once to check it looks sharp before you upload it to the portal.

What can I change in the RBI Grade B edit window?
A 2-day edit window opens after applications close, for those who submitted and paid. You can resubmit once, for a ₹200 fee, and only these fields can be altered: centre, exam medium, the names of your father and mother, and your 10th/12th percentage. Name, email, mobile number, post, category and nationality cannot be edited, and the photo is not on the list.
What ID should I carry to RBI Grade B Phase-II?
Bring the Admit Card, the original photo ID, plus one photocopy of it per shift. Phase-II has two or three shifts, so carry two or three photocopies; Phase-I needs only one. The name on the Admit Card must exactly match your ID, or you will not be allowed in. A ration card or learner's licence will not be accepted as ID.
Can I apply for both DEPR and DSIM?
No. You can apply for Grade 'B' (DR) in either DEPR or DSIM, not both. You can, however, pair one of them with the General cadre by applying through both links separately and paying both fees. Each application has its own photo, signature, thumb impression and declaration uploads.
Can I take the RBI Grade B photo with my phone?
Yes. Stand facing a plain light wall in daylight, hold the phone at eye level and take a sharp, front-facing photo. Upload it here, drag and zoom so your face fills the frame, and the tool saves it at the exact pixel size and KB range.
How do I check the size of my file before uploading?
The result box under the preview shows the exact pixel size and file size in KB. On a phone you can also open the file details in the Files or Gallery app. On a computer, right-click the file and open Properties (Windows) or Get Info (Mac).
What if my file is smaller than the minimum KB?
Small images can come out below the minimum even at full quality. This tool then adds a harmless comment block inside the JPG so the file reaches the minimum size, while the picture stays exactly the same.
