Almost every Indian business ends up needing a stamp. The shop uses one on bills and delivery challans, the accountant wants "For Sharma Traders / Authorised Signatory" under every signature, the clinic puts the doctor's name and registration number on prescriptions, and the school office stamps certificates. This stamp maker lets you design that stamp on your phone or computer in a couple of minutes, check exactly how it will look, and then either use it as an image on digital documents or hand the file to a rubber stamp shop.
It is built for people designing a stamp for their own business, clinic, school, trust or housing society. It does not make government, court or notary seals, and you should not use it for that.
How to use the stamp maker
- Start from a format. Tap one of the common Indian formats: round company seal, For company / Authorised Signatory, Proprietor, Received, Paid, date stamp, doctor, school principal, society or a Hindi seal. It fills in sample wording that you then replace.
- Choose the shape and size. Round, oval, rectangle or square, with the size in millimetres. The preview and every download use this exact size.
- Type your wording. On a round or oval stamp the top and bottom text run along the edge, and the middle can hold a star, one to three short lines or your logo. On a rectangle the first line is bold, the middle lines sit in between (an empty line leaves room for a signature) and the last line closes it.
- Style it. Pick the ink colour (blue, violet, red, black or your own), a single, double, thick or dotted border, stars or dots between the texts, and one of five fonts. Text size and letter spacing can be adjusted.
- Download. PNG (transparent, 1200 dpi) for documents, SVG for designers and stamp shops, or a PDF at actual size to show or email to the shop.

These sizes are only a starting point. Stamp makers sell mounts and self-inking units in fixed sizes, so ask yours which ones they have before you finalise the design.
What makes a stamp easy to read
- Keep the wording short. The longer the top text, the smaller the letters have to be to fit around the ring. If the tool warns that letters are under 1.6 mm high, shorten the name (Pvt. Ltd. instead of Private Limited) or choose a bigger stamp.
- Capital letters work best on a round seal. They have no descenders, so the ring looks even.
- Use one ink colour. A rubber stamp prints one colour. Blue and violet are the most common for business stamps; red is often used for PAID or CANCELLED.
- Use a simple logo. In the middle of a round stamp, the logo is turned into ink colour. A plain dark mark on a white background works; photos and gradients do not.
- Check the spelling twice. A mistake on a rubber stamp means paying for a new one. The PDF includes an enlarged copy for exactly this.
The three downloads
PNG is a transparent image at 1200 dots per inch, so it stays sharp when printed at the real size and sits cleanly on any document. Use it in Word, on a PDF with our Sign PDF tool, or on an invoice. SVG is a vector file in which every letter, including Hindi, has been turned into outlines, so it opens the same way in CorelDraw, Illustrator or Inkscape without needing the font. PDF shows the stamp at its actual size on an A4 page, with its measurements, ink colour and border type, plus a larger copy for checking.
The optional ink texture makes the PNG look like a real impression, which some people like for previews. Leave it off for anything you send to a stamp maker.
A stamp image is not a legal seal
A stamp shows which business or office a document came from. It does not make a document valid on its own: what matters is that the person signing has the authority to sign. Banks and government offices may ask for a physical stamp impression rather than a printed image, so check what the receiver accepts.
Do not design a stamp that imitates a government department, a court, a notary, a bank or another business. Using the State Emblem of India, or anything that looks like it, in a way that suggests a link to the government is prohibited under the State Emblem of India (Prohibition of Improper Use) Act, 2005. This tool has no emblems and is meant for your own name only.
