About the LIC AAO uploads

LIC's 32nd-batch recruitment covered Assistant Administrative Officer posts, both Generalist (open to graduates in any discipline) and Specialist (CA, CS, Actuarial, Insurance Specialist and Legal), along with Assistant Engineer (Civil and Electrical) posts. The application needs four scans, so prepare them first: a recent colour passport-style photo, your signature in black ink, your left thumb impression on white paper, and a declaration handwritten by you in English. Photo and signature go in right after you validate your registration details, and the form also asks for a live photo, taken on a webcam, or on your phone after scanning a QR code. All uploads come before Final Submit and fee payment. The uploaded photo keeps mattering after that: at the Main exam LIC captures your photo and iris and matches them with the photo in your application.

LIC AAO handwritten declaration text

Write this in English, in your own handwriting, on white paper with black ink, then scan or photograph it and resize it with the Declaration option above:

I, _______ (Name of the candidate), hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required.

How to resize your LIC AAO photo and signature

  1. The LIC AAO size is already selected above. Switch between Photo, Signature, Thumb, Declaration at the top.
  2. Upload a clear photo from your phone, or a scan or photo of your signature on white paper.
  3. Drag and zoom so your face (or signature) fills the frame. Use Rotate if it is sideways.
  4. For the signature, keep Clean background on so the paper turns pure white and the ink stays dark.
  5. Press Download JPG. The result shows the exact pixel size and KB, within the LIC AAO limits.

Tips so your LIC AAO upload is not rejected

  • LIC treats the application as invalid if the declaration is in a language other than English or is not in your own handwriting.
  • Block capitals are refused for both the signature and the declaration; write them in your normal hand.
  • LIC compares the signature you give at the exam with the one you uploaded, and a mismatch leads to disqualification.
  • A photo that is not of the required size, or where your face is not clearly visible, leads to rejection, and the fee is not refunded.
  • Use a recent colour photo with a plain light background and even light on your face, with no cap or dark glasses.
  • Sign in black ink inside the space, and do not sign in capital letters unless the notice allows it.
  • Open the downloaded file once to check it looks sharp before you upload it to the portal.

LIC AAO photo and signature FAQs

What is the photo size for LIC AAO?

200 × 230 px, 20–50 KB, JPG, as given in the official notice. The resizer above is already set to this size.

What is the signature size for LIC AAO?

140 × 60 px, 10–20 KB, JPG, as given in the official notice. Sign with a black pen on plain white paper and keep "Clean background" on.

What is the left thumb impression size for LIC AAO?

240 × 240 px, 20–50 KB, JPG. Choose Thumb at the top of the resizer.

What is the handwritten declaration size for LIC AAO?

800 × 400 px, 50–100 KB, JPG. Choose Declaration at the top of the resizer.

Can I re-upload an unclear photo, thumb impression or declaration?

Yes, but only before you submit. LIC says candidature may be rejected if the face, signature, left thumb impression or declaration is unclear, so check the preview and edit the application to re-upload before submitting. No change is possible after you click Complete Registration.

What if I do not have a left thumb, or cannot write the declaration?

If you do not have a left thumb, you may use your right thumb. Visually impaired candidates who cannot write should get the declaration text typed, put their left thumb impression below it, and upload that document as per the specifications.

Do I need to paste a photo on the LIC call letter?

Yes. Affix a recent, recognisable photo on the call letter, preferably the same one you uploaded, and bring an original photo ID plus a photocopy. A mismatch in name, photograph or signature can stop you from taking the exam, and you should not change your appearance from the uploaded photo.

Can I take the LIC AAO photo with my phone?

Yes. Stand facing a plain light wall in daylight, hold the phone at eye level and take a sharp, front-facing photo. Upload it here, drag and zoom so your face fills the frame, and the tool saves it at the exact pixel size and KB range.

How do I check the size of my file before uploading?

The result box under the preview shows the exact pixel size and file size in KB. On a phone you can also open the file details in the Files or Gallery app. On a computer, right-click the file and open Properties (Windows) or Get Info (Mac).

What if my file is smaller than the minimum KB?

Small images can come out below the minimum even at full quality. This tool then adds a harmless comment block inside the JPG so the file reaches the minimum size, while the picture stays exactly the same.
