Holidays are from the Central Government list for 2027 (DoPT O.M. 12/2/2023-JCA, 16 July 2026). Festival dates can vary by region and by panchang, and Id dates depend on the moon, so check locally. Your details and logo stay in this browser; nothing is uploaded.

A 2027 calendar with Indian holidays, made in your browser

Every December, shops, clinics, coaching centres and small offices across India hand out calendars with their name on them. A calendar hangs on a customer's wall for a whole year, so it is one of the cheapest ways to stay in front of people. This tool makes that calendar for you: the 2027 dates, the Central Government holidays and the main festivals already marked, and your shop name, phone, address, logo and a payment QR on every page. You can also use it just for your home or office, in English or in Hindi.

Nothing is uploaded. The calendar is drawn on your phone or computer, your details are saved only in this browser, and the PDF has no watermark.

How to make your calendar

  1. Choose the language. English, or हिंदी with Devanagari month and weekday names. In Hindi you can also print the dates in Hindi numerals (१, २, ३).
  2. Pick what to mark. Keep the Central Government holidays and festivals on, choose whether the week starts on Sunday or Monday, and mark the 2nd Saturday, the 2nd and 4th Saturdays or all Saturdays if those are your days off.
  3. Add your own dates, one per line, such as "15-08 Shop anniversary" or "01-11 Diwali sale starts". They appear with a star in your design colour.
  4. Fill in your shop details: name, tagline, phone, email or website, address and logo. Choose a UPI payment QR or a WhatsApp chat QR if you want one.
  5. Choose the layout and design. Look through the pages with the arrows above the preview.
  6. Download. Tap "Download PDF" for print, or the WhatsApp image buttons for sharing.

Where the holiday dates come from

The Government holidays come from the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) office memorandum No. 12/2/2023-JCA dated 16 July 2026, "Holidays to be observed in Central Government Offices during the year 2027". Annexure I lists 17 holidays for Central Government administrative offices in Delhi and New Delhi (two of them fall on 15 August); these are marked in red. Annexure II lists 32 restricted holidays, from which an employee may take any two; these are marked as festivals.

Date (2027)Holiday
26 January, TuesdayRepublic Day
10 March, WednesdayId-ul-Fitr
23 March, TuesdayHoli
26 March, FridayGood Friday
15 April, ThursdayRam Navami
19 April, MondayMahavir Jayanti
17 May, MondayId-ul-Zuha (Bakrid)
20 May, ThursdayBuddha Purnima
16 June, WednesdayMuharram
15 August, SundayIndependence Day; Milad-un-Nabi (Id-e-Milad)
25 August, WednesdayJanmashtami (Vaishnav)
2 October, SaturdayMahatma Gandhi's Birthday
9 October, SaturdayDussehra (Vijaya Dashami)
29 October, FridayDiwali (Deepavali)
14 November, SundayGuru Nanak's Birthday
25 December, SaturdayChristmas Day

Central Government offices outside Delhi keep 14 of these compulsorily and pick three more from a list of 12 optional holidays through the state's coordination committee, so the list in your state may differ slightly. The same memorandum says the dates of Id-ul-Fitr, Id-ul-Zuha, Muharram and Id-e-Milad may change depending on the moon. Banks follow the Department of Financial Services instead, and each state government publishes its own holiday list.

We added a few festivals that are not in the DoPT lists only where two panchang sources gave the same date: Lohri, Dr. Ambedkar Jayanti, Hanuman Jayanti, Akshaya Tritiya, Guru Purnima, Hariyali Teej, Nag Panchami, Hartalika Teej, Anant Chaturdashi, Vishwakarma Puja, Sharad Purnima and Dhanteras. We checked Drik Panchang (New Delhi), ProKerala and DekhoPanchang. Festivals we could confirm from only one source, such as the first day of Sharad Navratri and Ahoi Ashtami, are left out; add them in "Your own dates" if your panchang gives them.

Panchangs do not always agree. For Holi, Drik Panchang for New Delhi gives Monday 22 March, while the DoPT holiday and ProKerala give Tuesday 23 March. Makar Sankranti is a restricted holiday on 14 January, but Drik Panchang and ProKerala give 15 January. Every page of the calendar carries a short note saying that festival dates can vary by region and panchang.

Tips for printing shop calendars

  • Print one copy first. Check the spelling of your name and phone number, and scan the QR code with your own phone to make sure it opens your UPI app or WhatsApp chat.
  • Print at "Actual size" (100%), not "Fit to page", so nothing is cut at the edges.
  • A3 reads better on a wall. The year-on-one-page layout fits on A4, but the festival names are small; A3 is easier to read from across a room.
  • Use thicker paper for wall and desk calendars. Ask your printer which card stock suits their machine.
  • Desk calendars: print the A5 PDF single-sided and have the 13 pages spiral bound at the top edge, then fit them on a stand.
  • For WhatsApp, send the month image at the start of each month, or share the ZIP of all 12 with your customer group in December.

Common mistakes to avoid

Do not print hundreds of copies before checking the festival dates that matter to your customers against your local panchang or your state's official holiday list. Do not leave the sample shop name and phone number on the page. And if you copy a holiday list from somewhere else into "Your own dates", make sure it is for 2027, not 2026.

This tool is not affiliated with the Government of India, NPCI, WhatsApp or any panchang publisher.

Frequently asked questions

Which holidays are on the 2027 calendar?

The 17 holidays that the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) fixed for Central Government offices in Delhi and New Delhi for 2027 (O.M. No. 12/2/2023-JCA, 16 July 2026), its 32 restricted holidays, and a few more festivals such as Lohri, Hanuman Jayanti, Akshaya Tritiya, Guru Purnima, Teej and Dhanteras. You can switch the Government holidays and the festivals on or off.

Are the festival dates correct for my city?

Holiday dates are exactly as in the DoPT list. Festival dates follow the panchang, and panchangs can differ by a day by region; for example Drik Panchang (New Delhi) gives 22 March for Holi while the DoPT holiday is on 23 March. Id and Muharram dates depend on the moon. Check your local panchang or your state's holiday list before you print many copies.

Can I make the calendar in Hindi?

Yes. Tap हिंदी and the month names, weekdays, holiday names and notes switch to Hindi. Tick 'Hindi numerals' for dates in १, २, ३. The text is drawn with open-licence Devanagari fonts, so matras and conjuncts print correctly in the PDF and images.

How do I put my shop name and logo on the calendar?

Fill in the shop name, tagline, phone, address and, if you like, a logo. They print in a block on every page, and the wall calendar shows them large at the top of each month. Your logo stays in this browser and is never uploaded.

Can customers pay me by scanning the calendar?

Yes. Choose 'UPI payment' and type your UPI ID, and a UPI QR code prints on every page. Or choose 'WhatsApp chat' and type your mobile number, and the QR opens a chat with you. Scan a test print with your own phone first.

What sizes can I print?

The full-year page and the monthly and wall calendars come as A4 or A3 PDFs, and the desk calendar as 13 A5 landscape pages (210 × 148 mm). Print at 'Actual size'. For WhatsApp you get one 1080 × 1350 px image per month, or all 12 in a ZIP file.

Is the second Saturday marked?

Only if you want it. Choose '2nd Saturday', '2nd and 4th' (the pattern many banks follow) or 'All Saturdays', and those dates turn red like Sundays. You can also turn off red Sundays.

Does it include my state's holidays?

Not yet. State governments publish their own lists, and we did not have an official 2027 state notification to check. You can add any extra date yourself in the 'Your own dates' box, for example a state holiday or your shop's anniversary.
