About the UP Police Constable uploads
Direct Recruitment-2025 fills 32,679 posts in Uttar Pradesh: Constable Civil Police (men and women), Constable PAC/Armed Police, Special Security Force, women constables for the women battalions, Mounted Police and Jail Warder. Applying is a two-step job. First you complete One Time Registration (OTR) with a unique email ID and mobile number and verify through DigiLocker. Then you log in with your account, Aadhaar or DigiLocker and fill the form, where the Board takes a real-time photograph through a webcam or any device that can capture one live. That photo is compared with your Aadhaar photo, and a mismatch means filling a declaration in the form. Spectacles may stay on if no glare hides your eyes, but no uniform of any kind is allowed. Your signature goes inside a 50 mm x 20 mm box, and you pick a post preference before paying the fee.

UP Police Constable signature size (2025 notice)
| Upload | Size | File size | Format | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Signature | 140 × 60 px | 30–50 KB | JPG | Official: sign with a black ink pen on white paper inside a 50 mm x 20 mm box; running (joined) letters, not block letters; JPG/JPEG; size 50 mm x 20 mm or 140 x 60 px; file 30-50 KB; only the applicant's own signature. A 140 x 60 px JPG is usually well under 30 KB, so the tool pads it up to the minimum. No photo upload: the board takes a real-time (live) photograph in the online form, and it is checked against the Aadhaar photo. |

How to resize your UP Police Constable signature
- The UP Police Constable size is already selected above.
- Upload a scan or clear phone photo of your signature on white paper.
- Drag and zoom so your signature fills the frame. Use Rotate if it is sideways.
- For the signature, keep Clean background on so the paper turns pure white and the ink stays dark.
- Press Download JPG. The result shows the exact pixel size and KB, within the UP Police Constable limits.
Tips so your UP Police Constable upload is not rejected
- A live photograph taken while wearing any kind of uniform is not accepted, and wearing a uniform at any later stage, including the written exam, keeps you out of selection.
- A cap, a mask, hair, cloth, shadow or jewellery covering the face, a blurred image or heavy glare all break the real-time photograph rules in para 5.7.
- The signature must be your own, in running letters with a black pen on white paper; block letters or another person's signature break the rules in para 5.8.
- Submitting more than one application does not help: only the last application you submit is accepted, and incomplete or wrong details can get it cancelled.
- Sign in black ink inside the space, and do not sign in capital letters unless the notice allows it.
- Open the downloaded file once to check it looks sharp before you upload it to the portal.

UP Police Constable signature FAQs
What is the signature size for UP Police Constable?
140 × 60 px, 30–50 KB, JPG, as given in the official notice. Sign with a black pen on plain white paper and keep "Clean background" on.
Could I change my photo or signature after paying the fee?
The advertisement allows changes only before the fee is paid. The Board later gave a single modification chance from 31 Jan 2026 (6:00 am) to 3 Feb 2026 (6:00 am) through apply.upprpb.in, but details fetched from OTR and the uploaded photo could not be modified, and no further chance was given.
I do not want to use Aadhaar. Can I still apply?
Yes. If you apply with another prescribed government photo ID instead of Aadhaar, you must fill the self-declaration given in the online form. The Board uses Aadhaar-based OTP authentication to verify identity, so it asks every applicant to keep their Aadhaar data and the mobile number linked to it up to date.
Will my photo be checked again at the exam and PET?
Yes. To prevent impersonation, your photo, fingerprint or iris is taken as biometrics at every stage of the exam, and iris-based Aadhaar e-KYC is done. Impersonation or hiding facts can lead to cancellation of candidature and legal action.
Why is there no photo upload for UP Police Constable?
The UP Police Constable notice says the candidate's photograph is captured live during the application or exam process, so only the signature needs to be uploaded. Follow the instructions on the official portal for the live photo.
How do I check the size of my file before uploading?
The result box under the preview shows the exact pixel size and file size in KB. On a phone you can also open the file details in the Files or Gallery app. On a computer, right-click the file and open Properties (Windows) or Get Info (Mac).
What if my file is smaller than the minimum KB?
Small images can come out below the minimum even at full quality. This tool then adds a harmless comment block inside the JPG so the file reaches the minimum size, while the picture stays exactly the same.
