A clean one-page biodata for any job application
For many jobs in India, from a peon or driver post to a bank clerk, office assistant, nurse, teacher or ITI technician, the first thing an employer asks for is a "biodata". It is a simple, one-page document with your photo, personal details, education, any experience and a signed declaration. Freshers, skilled workers and people applying for government, PSU or private jobs all need one, and it is often printed and handed over with photocopies of certificates.
This tool makes that page for you. You type your details once in a plain form, pick one of six clean designs, and download a PDF, a Word file or a JPG. There is no login and no watermark.
How to make your job biodata
- Choose the language and title. English or Hindi headings, and a title such as Biodata, Resume or CV.
- Add your photo. Choose a recent passport-style photo, then drag and zoom so your face is centred. No photo? Keep the empty box so you can paste one after printing.
- Name and contact. Your full name, the post you are applying for, mobile number, email and address.
- Career objective. Tap a sample (fresher, experienced or government job) and change it to fit you, or leave it out.
- Education. One row per qualification, highest first, with the board or university, year and marks or grade.
- Experience. Add each job with the post, organisation, period and a line about the work, or tick "I am a fresher".
- Skills, training, languages and hobbies. One skill per line.
- Personal details and declaration. Father's name, date of birth, gender, marital status and so on, then the place and date. Add a signature image or sign by hand.
- Design and download. The preview shows whether everything fits on one A4 page. Download the PDF to print or upload, Word to edit, or JPG to send on WhatsApp.
What to include, section by section
| Section | What to write |
|---|---|
| Career objective | One to three lines about the kind of work you want. Keep it specific to the post if you can. |
| Education | Graduation, Class 12, Class 10, plus diplomas or ITI, each with board/university, year and marks (% or CGPA) |
| Experience | Post, organisation and place, from–to, and one line on what you did. Part-time work, apprenticeships and internships count. |
| Skills | Computer skills (MS Office, Tally, typing speed), trade skills, a driving licence, machines you can operate |
| Training and certificates | Computer courses, ITI trades, NCC, first aid, language certificates |
| Personal details | Father's name, date of birth, gender, marital status, nationality, languages known, permanent address |
| Declaration | "I hereby declare that the information given above is true…", with place, date and signature |
Government and PSU application forms often ask for personal details such as date of birth, father's name and category, which is why the traditional Indian biodata includes them. For private companies, especially in IT and sales, you can leave out details like religion, category and marital status; the tool simply skips anything you leave empty.
Six designs, one page
Classic is the familiar Indian format with the title at the top, the photo on the right and label-colon-value rows. Govt. table puts every section in bordered tables, which many government offices and older recruiters prefer. Sidebar has a coloured column with the photo, contact, skills and languages. Colour band, Minimal and Two-tone are modern layouts for private jobs. All designs automatically adjust the text size so the biodata fits on one A4 page; if it cannot, the tool tells you to shorten something.
Tips that recruiters notice
- Use a working mobile number and an email address with your name, not a nickname.
- Write marks consistently, either all in percentage or as the grade system your board uses.
- Freshers: lead with skills and training. A typing speed, a computer course or a driving licence often matters more than the objective.
- Keep it to one page. Recruiters scan dozens of biodatas; short lines are easier to read.
- Check spellings of names and dates against your certificates. The details should match your documents exactly.
- Sign it. Many employers expect a signed declaration. Add a signature image, or print and sign above your name.
PDF, Word or JPG?
Use the PDF to print or to upload on job portals and email; it looks the same on every device. Use Word if a recruiter asks for a .docx or you want to make later changes on a computer. Use the JPG when someone asks you to send your biodata on WhatsApp.
Hindi biodata
Tap Hindi and the title, headings and labels change to Hindi: बायोडाटा, शैक्षणिक योग्यता, कार्य अनुभव, व्यक्तिगत विवरण and घोषणा. The declaration is written in Hindi too, and it uses करता or करती हूँ based on the gender you choose. You can type your details in Hindi or English; Devanagari prints correctly in the PDF and JPG.
Private and free
Your details stay in this browser and are saved only on this device, so you can update the biodata later. The photo and signature are not saved. Making a biodata for marriage instead? Use the marriage biodata maker. Need a photo in the right size for an online form? Try the passport size photo maker.
Biodata and resume formats
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between a biodata and a resume?
In India a job biodata is a simple, fixed format with personal details such as father's name, date of birth and marital status, plus education and a signed declaration. A resume focuses on skills and work experience. Many employers use the words interchangeably; this tool covers both, and you can leave out any section.
What should a fresher write in a job biodata?
A short career objective, education with board or university, year and marks, skills (computer, typing, driving, trade skills), any training or certificates such as ITI or a computer course, languages known, personal details and the declaration with place and date.
Should I add a photo to my biodata?
Many government, PSU and private employers in India still expect a passport-size photo on a biodata. Add one here, or leave the empty photo box on and paste a printed photo after printing.
Can I make my biodata in Hindi?
Yes. Choose Hindi and all headings and labels change to Hindi, such as शैक्षणिक योग्यता and घोषणा. Type your own details in Hindi or English; they print correctly in the PDF and JPG.
Can I download the biodata in Word format?
Yes. The Word (.docx) button gives an editable file with the same details in a table. Add your photo in Word if you need it there.
Is this resume maker free without login and watermark?
Yes. There is no sign-up and no watermark on the PDF, Word or JPG. Everything is made in your browser and your details are not uploaded.
What is written in the declaration of a biodata?
A line such as 'I hereby declare that all the information given above is true and correct to the best of my knowledge and belief', followed by the place, date and your signature. The tool fills this in for you.
