About the SBI PO uploads
SBI's Probationary Officer recruitment (1,500 vacancies, with posting anywhere in India) asks for more than a photo and a signature. Before you even open the form, the advertisement wants four scanned files ready: a colour photo, your signature, a left-hand thumb impression and a handwritten declaration in English. SBI's declaration text is longer than most: it carries your name and date of birth and ends with a line confirming that the signature, photograph and thumb impression are your own. While registering you also capture a live photo, either through a webcam or by pointing your phone at a QR code. All of this is done while filling the form, before you pay the fee, and the application is not registered until every file is uploaded as specified.

How to resize your SBI PO photo and signature

Tips so your SBI PO upload is not rejected
- SBI checks the photo and signature on your exam-day attendance sheet and call letter against your uploads; if they differ, you are disqualified.
- Mixing up the slots, for example the signature in the photo box or the declaration in the thumb box, bars you from appearing in the exam.
- A handwritten declaration in CAPITAL LETTERS is not accepted, and the photo, signature, thumb impression and declaration must all be yours, not another person's.
- Mehandi, ink or chemicals on your hands can spoil the biometric thumb or iris capture at later stages, and any inconsistency there leads to rejection of candidature.
- Use a recent colour photo with a plain light background and even light on your face, with no cap or dark glasses.
- Sign in black ink inside the space, and do not sign in capital letters unless the notice allows it.
- Open the downloaded file once to check it looks sharp before you upload it to the portal.

Can I change my SBI PO photo after submitting the form?
Only before final submission. You can save the form, reopen it with your registration number and password, and re-upload an unclear photo, signature, thumb impression or declaration. Once you finally submit, no change or edit is allowed, and after the registration window closes SBI does not accept correction requests by post, email or in person.
Why does SBI ask me to keep about 8 copies of my photo?
You paste the same photo that you uploaded on your Preliminary exam call letter and bring two more copies with you. Without the pasted photo and the two spare copies, SBI does not let you take the exam. The call letter is stamped at the centre and must be brought again, with the stamped ID copy, to the Main exam.
Will SBI verify my Aadhaar during the process?
The advertisement advises candidates to have a valid Aadhaar card and says the Bank will conduct online Aadhaar verification at different stages. At the exam you also bring one original photo ID (such as passport, Aadhaar, PAN, driving licence or voter ID) plus a self-attested photocopy, which is handed in with the call letter.
Can I take the SBI PO photo with my phone?

How do I check the size of my file before uploading?
The result box under the preview shows the exact pixel size and file size in KB. On a phone you can also open the file details in the Files or Gallery app. On a computer, right-click the file and open Properties (Windows) or Get Info (Mac).
What if my file is smaller than the minimum KB?
Small images can come out below the minimum even at full quality. This tool then adds a harmless comment block inside the JPG so the file reaches the minimum size, while the picture stays exactly the same.
