About the UPESSC Assistant Teacher uploads

UPESSC Advertisement 05/2026 fills 11,508 Assistant Teacher posts in primary schools in urban areas under the UP Basic Shiksha Parishad, and 897 Assistant Teacher posts in primary sections attached to aided schools (473 in boys' schools and 424 in girls' schools). The application is OTR based: you first complete One Time Registration on upessc.up.gov.in, and both the registration and the form must be filled in English. The two image uploads have unusual sizes. The signature is set at 140 x 110 pixels, almost square, scanned against a white background. For the passport size photo the notice says only 'Pixel Resolution 300 से 600', with no width and height, so the tool keeps both sides inside that range. Certificates and other documents go in separately as PDF files of 50 to 500 KB.

UPESSC Assistant Teacher photo and signature size (2026 notice)

UploadSizeFile sizeFormatNotes
Photograph400 × 500 px*30–300 KBJPGOfficial (para 2.13): passport size photo, 30-300 KB, 'Pixel Resolution 300 से 600'. The notice does not give a width and height or say whether this means pixels per side, so 400 x 500 px keeps both sides between 300 and 600 px. The format is not named separately for the photo; the same paragraph asks for the signature in JPG or JPEG.
Signature140 × 110 px10–200 KBJPGOfficial (para 2.13): signature scanned with a white background, JPG or JPEG, 10-200 KB, 140 x 110 pixel resolution. A 140 x 110 px JPG is usually under 10 KB, so the tool pads it up to the minimum.

*The notice fixes the KB range but not an exact pixel size, so the tool uses a suggested default that fits the range.

How to resize your UPESSC Assistant Teacher photo and signature

  1. The UPESSC Assistant Teacher size is already selected above. Switch between Photo, Signature at the top.
  2. Upload a clear photo from your phone, or a scan or photo of your signature on white paper.
  3. Drag and zoom so your face (or signature) fills the frame. Use Rotate if it is sideways.
  4. For the signature, keep Clean background on so the paper turns pure white and the ink stays dark.
  5. Press Download JPG. The result shows the exact pixel size and KB, within the UPESSC Assistant Teacher limits.

Tips so your UPESSC Assistant Teacher upload is not rejected

  • A photo that is not the prescribed size, an unclear signature, or not accepting the declaration gets the application cancelled (para 2.7).
  • Category, sub-category, date of birth and gender cannot be changed after the application is submitted, so check them before you click Submit.
  • You must fill your preference between the two kinds of schools, and it cannot be changed after the last date.
  • If you submit more than one application, only the last one is accepted and the rest are cancelled; the fee paid on a faulty application is not refunded or adjusted.
  • Use a recent colour photo with a plain light background and even light on your face, with no cap or dark glasses.
  • Sign in black ink inside the space, and do not sign in capital letters unless the notice allows it.
  • Open the downloaded file once to check it looks sharp before you upload it to the portal.

Can I take the UPESSC Assistant Teacher photo with my phone?

Yes. Stand facing a plain light wall in daylight, hold the phone at eye level and take a sharp, front-facing photo. Upload it here, drag and zoom so your face fills the frame, and the tool saves it at the exact pixel size and KB range.

How do I check the size of my file before uploading?

The result box under the preview shows the exact pixel size and file size in KB. On a phone you can also open the file details in the Files or Gallery app. On a computer, right-click the file and open Properties (Windows) or Get Info (Mac).

What if my file is smaller than the minimum KB?

Small images can come out below the minimum even at full quality. This tool then adds a harmless comment block inside the JPG so the file reaches the minimum size, while the picture stays exactly the same.
