About the RRB JE uploads
Diploma and engineering-degree holders apply under CEN 04/2026 for Junior Engineer and Depot Material Superintendent posts at Level 6, and Corrigendum 1 later added Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant vacancies for B.Sc. candidates with Physics and Chemistry. Like other RRB forms, the application takes your photo live and asks you to upload only a scanned signature, but this notice has two extra provisions for persons with benchmark disabilities. If a disability prevents signing, you may upload a fingerprint image instead, starting with the left thumb, then the right thumb, then any finger of the hands or legs. If you opted for a scribe, the scribe must first register on rrbapply.gov.in and get an OTR number; you then enter that number and the OTP sent to the scribe's phone during a five-day window after the modification window closes, which this notice set for 26 to 30 Sep 2026.

How to resize your RRB JE signature

Tips so your RRB JE upload is not rejected
- Uploading someone else's signature, or a thumb impression when you are able to sign, is a listed ground for rejecting the application.
- Not following the live-photo instructions can get your candidature rejected at any stage, and photographing a printed or digital photo means summary rejection.
- Using a scribe without being eligible under the guidelines, or with false scribe details, can lead to cancellation of candidature or removal from service.
- Sign in black ink inside the space, and do not sign in capital letters unless the notice allows it.
- Open the downloaded file once to check it looks sharp before you upload it to the portal.

What is the signature size for RRB JE?
700 × 400 px, 30–49 KB, JPG. The notice fixes only the KB range, so the pixel size is our suggested default. Sign with a black pen on plain white paper and keep "Clean background" on.
Can I change my Aadhaar e-KYC details or name after creating the account?
No. The JE FAQ says details in the Create an Account form, including name, parents' names, date of birth, matriculation details, email, mobile number, Aadhaar e-KYC details and chosen RRB, cannot be modified. Other details, including the signature, can be corrected only in the 16 to 25 Sep 2026 modification window for a fee.
My caste certificate will not upload. What should I check?
The JE FAQ asks you to check that the scanned certificate is in PDF format and smaller than 400 KB. SC/ST candidates upload it only if they want the free sleeper-class train pass, which then appears on the e-call letter.
Why is there no photo upload for RRB JE?
The RRB JE notice says the candidate's photograph is captured live during the application or exam process, so only the signature needs to be uploaded. Follow the instructions on the official portal for the live photo.
How do I check the size of my file before uploading?
The result box under the preview shows the exact pixel size and file size in KB. On a phone you can also open the file details in the Files or Gallery app. On a computer, right-click the file and open Properties (Windows) or Get Info (Mac).
What if my file is smaller than the minimum KB?
Small images can come out below the minimum even at full quality. This tool then adds a harmless comment block inside the JPG so the file reaches the minimum size, while the picture stays exactly the same.
