About the UPSSSC PET uploads
Group C posts that fall under UPSSSC are filled through a two-stage system, and PET is the first stage: your PET score, valid for three years, decides shortlisting for the main exams the Commission advertises later. PET 2026 is open to high-school pass candidates aged 18 to 40 on 1 July 2026. Before applying you must complete One Time Registration (OTR), a free profile the Commission started on 14 July 2026, and that is where your photo and signature are uploaded. The PET form then opens with your OTR details filled in, and you add only things like intermediate qualification or EWS status. The signature carries a rule few exams have: sign in Hindi or English, then write your name in Hindi, in your own handwriting, just below it. The photo should be a colour one taken within the last six months.

UPSSSC PET photo and signature size (2026 notice)
| Upload | Size | File size | Format | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Photograph | 350 × 450 px* | 50–100 KB | JPG | Official (UPSSSC OTR notice No. 45/17/.../2026, 14 July 2026): recent colour photograph taken within the last 6 months, JPEG/JPG, 50-100 KB. The PET 2026 advertisement (1 Aug 2026) makes OTR compulsory and pulls the applicant's details from OTR. The notice sets no pixel or cm size; 350 x 450 px is the standard 3.5 x 4.5 passport shape and is large enough to reach 50 KB. |
| Signature | 700 × 300 px* | 30–50 KB | JPG | Official (UPSSSC OTR notice, 14 July 2026): sign in Hindi or English and write your name in Hindi in your own handwriting below the signature; signatures in English CAPITAL LETTERS are invalid; JPEG/JPG, 30-50 KB. The notice sets no pixel or cm size; 700 x 300 px keeps a 3.5 x 1.5 shape at 200 px per cm, leaves room for the name line and is large enough to reach 30 KB. |
*The notice fixes the KB range but not an exact pixel size, so the tool uses a suggested default that fits the range.

How to resize your UPSSSC PET photo and signature
- The UPSSSC PET size is already selected above. Switch between Photo, Signature at the top.
- Upload a clear photo from your phone, or a scan or photo of your signature on white paper.
- Drag and zoom so your face (or signature) fills the frame. Use Rotate if it is sideways.
- For the signature, keep Clean background on so the paper turns pure white and the ink stays dark.
- Press Download JPG. The result shows the exact pixel size and KB, within the UPSSSC PET limits.
Tips so your UPSSSC PET upload is not rejected
- Signing in English CAPITAL LETTERS makes the signature invalid under the OTR notice, so use your normal running signature in Hindi or English.
- Leaving out your handwritten name in Hindi below the signature goes against the OTR notice, which says candidates must write it themselves.
- Holding more than one OTR number can get your candidature cancelled; each candidate is allowed only one OTR number.
- Entering wrong or false details in the OTR form can lead to cancellation of candidature, so check every entry before final submission.
- Use a recent colour photo with a plain light background and even light on your face, with no cap or dark glasses.
- Sign in black ink inside the space, and do not sign in capital letters unless the notice allows it.
- Open the downloaded file once to check it looks sharp before you upload it to the portal.

UPSSSC PET photo and signature FAQs
What is the photo size for UPSSSC PET?
350 × 450 px, 50–100 KB, JPG. The notice fixes only the KB range, so the pixel size is our suggested default. The resizer above is already set to this size.
What is the signature size for UPSSSC PET?
700 × 300 px, 30–50 KB, JPG. The notice fixes only the KB range, so the pixel size is our suggested default. Sign with a black pen on plain white paper and keep "Clean background" on.
Do I upload my photo again in the PET 2026 application?
The PET 2026 advertisement makes OTR compulsory before you apply. You log in with your OTR number or OTR mobile number and an OTP, the details you entered in OTR appear in the form automatically, and you fill in only the remaining details such as intermediate qualification, marital status, EWS and reservation-related categories. The photo and signature are part of the OTR form.
How do I correct a mistake in my OTR?
Use 'Modify OTR Form Details' on the upsssc.gov.in homepage and log in with an OTP. The mobile number cannot be changed, and if you made your OTR with your PET-2025 registration number, name and date of birth are locked too. Make corrections before registering for PET 2026; once you have the PET 2026 registration number, those details cannot be changed.
Can I edit my PET 2026 form after submitting it?
Some fields, yes. 'Modify Submitted Application' on the homepage, available from 10 August 2026 until 8 September 2026, lets you change details such as email, intermediate qualification, marital status, EWS, ex-serviceman, outstanding sportsperson and disability category, and extra age relaxation. Photo and signature changes are not among them. No changes are possible after 8 September 2026.
Can I take the UPSSSC PET photo with my phone?
Yes. Stand facing a plain light wall in daylight, hold the phone at eye level and take a sharp, front-facing photo. Upload it here, drag and zoom so your face fills the frame, and the tool saves it at the exact pixel size and KB range.
How do I check the size of my file before uploading?
The result box under the preview shows the exact pixel size and file size in KB. On a phone you can also open the file details in the Files or Gallery app. On a computer, right-click the file and open Properties (Windows) or Get Info (Mac).
What if my file is smaller than the minimum KB?
Small images can come out below the minimum even at full quality. This tool then adds a harmless comment block inside the JPG so the file reaches the minimum size, while the picture stays exactly the same.
