Your name, lettered in Hindi
A name written in a good Devanagari display font looks very different from the plain Hindi on a phone keyboard. Rozha One has the weight of a newspaper masthead, Amita and Tillana flow like a calligrapher's pen, Modak is round and playful, and Sarpanch is wide and bold like a shop sign. This tool lets you write your name in any of 34 such fonts, add colour, an outline, a shadow or a glow, and save it as a picture.
People use it for WhatsApp and Instagram profile pictures, the first page of a school project, notebook covers, YouTube thumbnails, shop banners, wedding hashtags and festival greetings. It runs fully in your browser, with no sign-up and no watermark.
How to make your name art
- Type your name. With "Type Hindi with English letters" switched on, type the way you would in a chat: rahul sharma becomes राहुल शर्मा when you press Space. Tap a chip under the box for another spelling, or the English chip to keep the English word. If you already have a Hindi keyboard on your phone, turn the switch off and type directly.
- Add a second line if you want. A surname, "Happy Birthday", a family name or a short tagline appears smaller under the name.
- Pick a ready look. Royal gold, Sticker, Neon, Comic 3D, Calligraphy, Wedding, Bold poster, Pastel, Fire, Classic, Chalkboard and Steel 3D each set a font, colours, an effect and a background in one tap.
- Adjust it. Change the font, the letter colour (solid, two colours, gold, silver or rainbow), the outline and a second outline, the effect (hard shadow, soft shadow, glow or 3D), the tilt and a decoration such as stars, hearts, flowers or an underline swash.
- Choose the background and size. Square for a DP, 1080 × 1920 for a status, a 1500 × 500 banner, or "Fit to the name" with a transparent background.
- Download. PNG keeps transparency; JPG is smaller and puts a white background behind a transparent design. On phones that support it, Share sends the picture straight to WhatsApp or another app.
Why it is a picture, not copy-paste text
Many "stylish name" sites turn English letters into look-alike symbols you can paste into a bio. That works only because Unicode happens to include mathematical bold and script versions of the Latin alphabet. There are no such styled copies of Devanagari, so a site that promises stylish Hindi text to copy is usually giving you the ordinary letters, or symbols that break on other phones. A picture avoids the problem: the font travels with the image, and your name looks exactly as you designed it on every screen.
Picking a font
| Mood | Fonts to try | Good for |
|---|---|---|
| Bold and traditional | Rozha One, Eczar, Martel, Inknut Antiqua | Family names, shop boards, wedding monograms |
| Calligraphy | Amita, Tillana, Jaini, Ranga | Invitations, greetings, elegant DPs |
| Fun and round | Modak, Baloo 2, Yatra One, Gotu | Kids' names, stickers, birthday posts |
| Strong and modern | Sarpanch, Teko, Khand, Biryani | Gaming names, thumbnails, posters |
| Handwritten | Kalam, Dekko | Notebook covers, chalkboard looks |
| Clean and plain | Poppins, Mukta, Noto Sans Devanagari | Small sizes, second lines, logos |
Fonts are fetched only when you pick them, so the page stays light. To compare them all with your own name, tap "See my name in every font": it loads every font once and draws a small preview of each.
Tips for good-looking name art
- Keep it short for a DP. Profile pictures are cropped to a circle and shown small, so one name in a heavy font with an outline reads best.
- Use contrast. Light letters on a dark background, or dark letters on a light one. An outline in the opposite colour helps busy backgrounds.
- Thin fonts need gentle effects. Calligraphy fonts such as Amita and Tillana look best with a soft shadow or glow. Heavy 3D suits thick fonts like Modak, Rozha One and Sarpanch.
- Check the spelling. Phonetic typing guesses. Names like कृष्ण, लक्ष्मी or ऋषभ are in its list, but if a name comes out wrong, tap another chip, or type that word with a Hindi keyboard.
- For printing, download a big size. The 1920 × 1080 and banner sizes have enough pixels for a notebook cover or an A5 print.
Ideas for using your name art
- Festival greetings: put शुभ दीपावली or होली की शुभकामनाएं as the main line and your family name as the second line, with the Royal gold or Wedding look.
- School and college: a bold name for a project cover, a notebook label or a house team banner.
- Small business: a shop or brand name for a WhatsApp Business profile, a price board or a social media post. Use the Banner size for a cover image.
- Weddings and birthdays: the couple's names or the birthday child's name for a cake topper print, a backdrop or an invitation.
About the fonts
All 34 fonts are released by their designers under the SIL Open Font License 1.1, the licence used by Google Fonts for most Indian-script typefaces. It lets anyone use the fonts to make images, including for commercial work, without paying a fee. The font files are served from this site, and their licence files sit next to them. The pictures you make belong to you.
Privacy
Your name is drawn on a canvas inside your browser. It is not sent to any server, and the only thing saved is your last design, in your own browser, so it is there when you come back.

Frequently asked questions
How do I write my name in stylish Hindi fonts?
Type your name in the box. With 'Type Hindi with English letters' on, priya becomes प्रिया when you press Space; tap a chip if you want another spelling. Then pick a ready look or a font, change the colours if you like, and tap Download PNG.
Can I copy and paste the stylish Hindi text?
No, and no tool can do that reliably. Fancy English 'fonts' you can paste are really special Unicode letters, and Unicode has no such styled versions of Devanagari. Here you get a picture of your name instead, which looks the same everywhere you share it.
How do I make a WhatsApp DP with my name?
Choose 'Square 1080 × 1080' in Image size, pick a look with a background, and download the PNG. Set it as your profile photo; WhatsApp crops DPs to a circle, so keep the name short or use one word.
How do I get a transparent background?
Tap 'Transparent' under Background and choose 'Fit to the name' as the size. The PNG then has no background, so you can place it on a photo, a video thumbnail or a card in any editing app.
Which fonts are included?
34 Devanagari display fonts, including Rozha One, Yatra One, Amita, Tillana, Kalam, Modak, Baloo 2, Sarpanch, Eczar, Martel and Tiro Devanagari. All are released under the SIL Open Font License, so the pictures you make are yours to use, including for business.
Can I see my name in every font at once?
Yes. Tap 'See my name in every font'. It loads all the fonts once (about 2.5 MB) and shows your own name in each, so you can compare them and tap the one you like.
Does it work for English names too?
Yes. Turn off Hindi typing and type in English. Every font has English letters as well, and the looks and effects work the same.
