About the CTET uploads
CTET is CBSE's eligibility test for people who want to teach Classes I to V (Paper I), Classes VI to VIII (Paper II) or both, and the qualifying certificate stays valid for life. The application follows a short, fixed order: fill in the form and note your registration number, upload a scanned photo and signature, pay the fee, then print the confirmation page. Both uploads are compulsory, and the bulletin states their size in centimetres (3.5 x 4.5 cm for the photo, 3.5 x 1.5 cm for the signature) rather than pixels. The signature window is small, only 3 to 30 KB. Use a recent photo: CBSE says it will be matched with the person who actually sits the exam. Your name and your parents' names must also match your Class X certificate.

How to resize your CTET photo and signature
- The CTET size is already selected above. Switch between Photo, Signature at the top.
- Upload a clear photo from your phone, or a scan or photo of your signature on white paper.
- Drag and zoom so your face (or signature) fills the frame. Use Rotate if it is sideways.
- For the signature, keep Clean background on so the paper turns pure white and the ink stays dark.
- Press Download JPG. The result shows the exact pixel size and KB, within the CTET limits.
Tips so your CTET upload is not rejected
- Submitting more than one online application can get your candidature cancelled, and you may also be debarred from future examinations.
- Affixing a fabricated photograph on the application form is listed in the bulletin as an act of impersonation.
- The online correction window (15-18 June 2026) is a one-time facility, and its list of editable fields does not include the photograph or signature.
- Enter your name, father's name, mother's name and date of birth exactly as in your Class X certificate; no change is accepted after the correction window.
- Use a recent colour photo with a plain light background and even light on your face, with no cap or dark glasses.
- Sign in black ink inside the space, and do not sign in capital letters unless the notice allows it.
- Open the downloaded file once to check it looks sharp before you upload it to the portal.

CTET photo and signature FAQs
What is the photo size for CTET?
276 × 354 px, 10–100 KB, JPG, as given in the official notice. The resizer above is already set to this size.
What is the signature size for CTET?
276 × 118 px, 3–30 KB, JPG, as given in the official notice. Sign with a black pen on plain white paper and keep "Clean background" on.
Can I fix my photo or signature after paying the CTET fee?
Particulars cannot be edited once the fee is paid, apart from the one-time correction window. The fields listed for correction (name, parents' names, date of birth, category, paper, subject, languages, address and institution) do not include the photo or signature. If your e-admit card shows a photo or signature different from your confirmation page, contact the CTET Unit at once.
Why does CBSE insist on a latest photograph for CTET?
The bulletin says the uploaded photo will be matched with the candidate actually appearing in the exam, and invigilators check every admit card to verify identity. It also warns that biometric authentication may be introduced at exam centres, so you should reach the centre early.
Is the CTET certificate valid for life?
Yes. The bulletin says the CTET qualifying certificate is valid for life for all categories. There is no limit on the number of attempts, and someone who has already qualified may take the test again to improve their score.
Can I take the CTET photo with my phone?
Yes. Stand facing a plain light wall in daylight, hold the phone at eye level and take a sharp, front-facing photo. Upload it here, drag and zoom so your face fills the frame, and the tool saves it at the exact pixel size and KB range.
How do I check the size of my file before uploading?
The result box under the preview shows the exact pixel size and file size in KB. On a phone you can also open the file details in the Files or Gallery app. On a computer, right-click the file and open Properties (Windows) or Get Info (Mac).
What if my file is smaller than the minimum KB?
Small images can come out below the minimum even at full quality. This tool then adds a harmless comment block inside the JPG so the file reaches the minimum size, while the picture stays exactly the same.
