The family tree homework, made easy
"Make a family tree with photos" is one of the first projects children get in primary school, often in the EVS or "My Family" chapter. It teaches who is who: that Dadi is Papa's mother, that Nana is Mummy's father, and that cousins are the children of uncles and aunts. Parents usually end up cutting photos, drawing boxes with a ruler and fixing crooked lines late at night. This page does the boxes and lines for you, so the evening can go into talking about the family instead.
Three steps for a neat chart
- Tap "Me, parents and grandparents". Seven cards appear in the right places: the child at the bottom, Papa and Mummy above, and Dada-Dadi and Nana-Nani at the top.
- Type the names and add photos. Tap Edit next to each person. Choose a photo from the phone gallery and drag it inside the circle. Birth years are optional.
- Print. The Kids design is already picked: soft blue and pink cards, thick outlines, a sun, clouds and grass. Download the A4 PDF and print it, or send the PNG to the class group if the teacher asked for it online.
Going one step further
Older children are often asked to add uncles, aunts and cousins. Use "+ Relative" next to Papa to add his brothers and sisters, then add their husbands, wives and children. The chart makes room and the labels change on their own: चाचा, बुआ, मामा, मौसी, and cousins as चचेरा, फुफेरा, ममेरा or मौसेरा भाई and बहन, with the English word next to each. It is a quiet way to learn the Hindi names for relatives that grown-ups use every day.
When the family is a little different
Not every child lives with both parents and four grandparents, and a family tree should never feel like a test. Remove any card you don't need with Edit and "Remove person", add a step-parent with Husband / wife, or add the people who actually raise the child. You can also type any label you like on a card, such as Chachi Maa or Badi Mummy, so the chart says what the child really calls them.
Ideas teachers like
- Write a title such as "My Family Tree" and, in the line below it, the child's name, class and section.
- Add a short note under each grandparent: the town they live in or what they did for work.
- Leave one or two names empty and let the child write them by hand on the dotted line.
- Print two copies: one for school and one for the grandparents.
Safe for children to use
There is no sign-up, no chat and no upload. Photos and names stay on the phone or computer you are using. Tap "Save family file" to keep the whole tree, photos included, in case you need it again next year.

Frequently asked questions
What should a class 1 or 2 family tree have?
Usually the child, the parents and the four grandparents, with a photo or drawing and the name of each. Some teachers also ask for brothers and sisters. The 'Me, parents and grandparents' start gives exactly these cards.
Can I leave names empty and write them by hand?
Yes. Cards without a name print with a dotted line, so the child can write the names neatly with a pen after printing.
Can the relation names be in both Hindi and English?
Yes. This page shows both, for example दादा जी · Grandfather. Change 'Relation labels' to Hindi only or English only if your teacher prefers.
How do I print it on A4?
Choose A4 under PDF paper, tap PDF and print at 'Actual size' or 'Fit to page'. The page turns landscape on its own if the tree is wide.
We don't have photos of everyone. What then?
Leave the photo out. The card shows a simple person outline instead, which children can colour in or cover with a small printed photo.
