Paste rows from Excel or Google Sheets (or a CSV file). The first row must be the column names. Columns we read: .
Each photo is matched to the row whose photo column has the same file name (for example 1023.jpg). Without a photo column, photos are used in row order.
3Code and back side
The QR holds the name, ID number, organisation and phone as plain text.

Sample card. Tap any option or type to make your own.
The sheet has 10 cards per A4 page. Each back page follows its front page, mirrored so the backs line up when you print double-sided. Print at 100% (actual size).
For schools, colleges, companies and organisers issuing ID cards to their own students, staff and guests. Do not copy government ID cards. Names, photos and rows stay in this browser; nothing is uploaded.
Staff identity cards in an afternoon
Whether you run a shop with five staff, a factory with two hundred workers or a security agency with people at many sites, an ID card helps at the gate, with customers and in an emergency. This page opens the ID card maker with the employee fields ready: employee ID, designation, department, blood group, phone and validity, plus a back side with the emergency contact and the company's return address.
What goes where
| Front of the card | Back of the card |
|---|---|
| Company name, address line and logo | Numbered rules for using the card |
| Photo and full name | Emergency contact for this employee |
| Employee ID, designation, department | "If found, please return to" with the company address |
| Blood group and validity | Signature of the authorised signatory or HR head |
| QR code or barcode | Company name strip |
QR code or barcode?
A barcode of the employee ID suits companies with attendance machines, canteen counters or store issue scanners, because most handheld scanners read Code 128. A QR code can hold more: by default the name, ID, company and phone as plain text, or a link to a verification page if you have one. Security guards can scan it with any phone camera. If neither is needed, choose None to give the details more room.
Bulk cards for a large team
Export the staff list from your HR or payroll software, or keep it in Excel, with a header row such as Name, Emp. ID, Designation, Department, D.O.B., Blood Group, Phone, Valid till, Emergency contact, Photo. Paste it into "Many cards (CSV)". Save each photo as the employee ID and put the file name in the Photo column, then select all the photos at once. The A4 sheet places 10 cards per page with crop marks; the ZIP gives you each card as a separate PNG if a print shop will print them on PVC cards.
Portrait or landscape?
Portrait cards are the usual choice when staff wear them on a lanyard or clip, because the photo and name face forward. Landscape cards suit wallets and access-card holders. Both use the same CR80 size, and the A4 sheet still holds 10 cards either way.
Tips from HR teams
- Set a validity date and reprint each year, so old cards of people who have left stop working at the gate.
- Use the same template and colours for everyone, and a different colour for contract staff or visitors so guards can tell them apart.
- Keep personal details to the minimum; the emergency contact belongs on the back.
- Ask staff for a recent photo against a plain light wall, or use "Make background white".
Everything stays in your browser, so the staff list is not shared with anyone. Design the company's authorised signatory stamp with the stamp maker, and make payslips with the salary slip generator.

Frequently asked questions
What should an employee ID card show?
The company name and logo, the employee's photo and name, employee ID, designation, department, blood group and validity. The back usually has rules for using the card, an emergency contact, the company address and an authorised signature.
Can I add a barcode for attendance?
Yes. Choose 'Barcode of ID no.' to print the employee ID as a Code 128 barcode, which most attendance and access scanners read. Check with your scanner supplier if they need a different format.
How do I make cards for all employees?
Paste your staff list from Excel with columns such as Name, Emp. ID, Designation, Department, Blood Group, Phone and Photo, then select all the photos. Photos are matched by the file name in the Photo column.
Should I print the employee's address on the card?
It is optional and many companies leave it out. A lost card should lead back to the company, so the back shows the company's return address instead.
