1Payment details
Find it in your UPI app under Profile. It looks like name@bank.
Use the same name as your bank account, so customers see a matching name.
2Design
Real sizes on A4 paper with cut lines. Print at Actual size / 100%, not "Fit to page".
Before printing, pay ₹1 to this QR from another phone and check that the name shown in the app is yours. Money goes straight to your bank; this tool never handles payments. Need a QR for the exact total of one bill? Use the GST invoice generator.
Collect donations without a cash box
A donation box needs someone to count it, guard it and carry it to the bank. A UPI donation QR does not. Donors scan it with any UPI app, type the amount they want to give and confirm with their UPI PIN. The money goes straight from their bank to the account linked with your organisation's UPI ID, and the payment shows up in your statement with the date and time.
This page opens the UPI QR code generator with a "Donate via UPI" poster, a heart in the centre of the code, warm colours and the note "Donation" filled in. Type your organisation's UPI ID and name, and you are ready to print.
Where a donation QR helps
- Places of worship: next to the donation box, at the prasad or langar counter, and at the entrance during festivals.
- NGOs and trusts: on posters at camps and events, on pamphlets and on the back of a visiting card.
- Schools and colleges: for an annual-day fund, a library drive or an alumni collection.
- Housing societies and clubs: for a festival pandal, a sports day or a relief collection.
Make it in a few minutes
- Type the UPI ID of the organisation's bank account, not a volunteer's personal ID. Donors then see the organisation's name before they pay.
- Type the name you want on the poster, such as the temple, trust or school name.
- Leave the amount empty so each donor chooses. Keep or change the note.
- Change the heading if you like. "Donate via UPI" works everywhere; you can also type a line in Hindi or your own language, such as "दान करें".
- Choose Download PDF: an A4 poster for a wall, A5 for a notice board, or 75 mm stickers for boxes and pamphlet stands.
- Pay ₹1 from another phone and check that it reaches the right account before you print many copies.
Build trust with donors
People give more readily when they can see where the money goes. Print the organisation's full name under the code and keep it close to the name on the bank account. Put the same QR on your official notice board, website or social page, so donors can compare. Frame posters or keep them behind glass, and check them often; a sticker pasted over yours would send money elsewhere.
Count UPI donations from your bank statement or bank app, not from screenshots that donors show. If the committee wants a daily total, one person can note the credits in the bank app at the end of each day.
Receipts and accounts
A UPI payment is recorded by both banks, but it is not a receipt from your organisation. If a donor asks for one, issue it from your own receipt book or software with the UPI reference number. Whether a donation qualifies for any tax benefit depends on how your organisation is registered, so take advice from your accountant before printing any such claim on a poster. This page does not make tax claims.
The tool runs in your browser and uploads nothing. It is not affiliated with NPCI, any bank or any UPI app.

Frequently asked questions
Can a temple, trust or NGO use this for donations?
Yes. Use the UPI ID of the organisation's own bank account, so donations land there and donors see the organisation's name in their UPI app. The tool only draws the QR; it never holds money and takes no cut.
Should I fix an amount on a donation QR?
Usually not. Leave the amount blank so each donor chooses what to give. Fix an amount only for set payments, such as a ₹100 entry pass for a fund-raising event or a fixed membership fee.
Does a UPI donation give the donor a receipt?
The donor's UPI app shows the payment in its history, but that is not a receipt from your organisation. If donors ask for a receipt, issue it yourself. Whether a donation can be claimed for any tax benefit depends on your organisation's registration, so ask your accountant; this page makes no tax claims.
How can donors be sure the QR is genuine?
Ask donors to check the name their UPI app shows before they enter the PIN. It should match your organisation's bank account. Keep posters in a frame or behind glass, check them regularly, and share the same QR on your official notice board or website.
What does the note on the QR do?
The note, prefilled here as "Donation", travels with the payment, so it can help you spot donations in your account statement. Some apps let the donor change it, and apps differ in how they show it, so do not depend on it for accounts.
