Many schools, especially Hindi-medium and government schools, and many offices in the Hindi belt prefer leave applications in Hindi. The Hindi format has its own fixed phrases, and getting the gender forms right (रहा or रही, शिष्य or शिष्या) is where most handwritten letters slip.

For a parent's letter, the closing is भवदीय (male) or भवदीया (female), and the signature reads "… के अभिभावक". Office letters use आदरणीय with the manager's name, and भवदीय / भवदीया.
Gender, done once
When Hindi is selected, the form asks "आप हैं: पुरुष / महिला". The choice changes every verb that refers to the writer. For a parent writing about a child, choose पुत्र or पुत्री as well, and the lines about the child change too: "वह विद्यालय नहीं आ सकेगा" or "सकेगी". You don't have to edit anything by hand.

Why does the tool ask whether I am male or female?
Hindi verbs and some nouns change with the writer's gender: जा रहा हूँ / जा रही हूँ, सकूँगा / सकूँगी, शिष्य / शिष्या, भवदीय / भवदीया. Choosing it once makes every line correct.
Can I type my name in English in a Hindi letter?
Yes. Names, school names and numbers can stay in English; the PDF prints both scripts correctly. If you want everything in Hindi, use your phone's Hindi keyboard to type the details.
Will the Hindi text print correctly in the PDF?
Yes. Hindi lines are drawn by your browser with a proper Devanagari font, so matras and joined letters (like क्ष, त्र, ज्ञ) look right. English parts stay as normal text.
