Both parts of Class 7 Ganita Prakash, mixed

The NCERT Class 7 book Ganita Prakash comes in two parts, and children often forget Part 1 by the time they finish Part 2. The mixed revision sheet on this page pulls from nine topics across both books:

TopicWhere it is in Ganita Prakash
Large numbersPart 1, Ch 1 Large Numbers Around Us
Arithmetic expressionsPart 1, Ch 2 Arithmetic Expressions
DecimalsPart 1, Ch 3 A Peek Beyond the Point; Part 2, Ch 4 Another Peek Beyond the Point
Algebraic expressionsPart 1, Ch 4 Expressions using Letter-Numbers
AnglesPart 1, Ch 5 Parallel and Intersecting Lines; Ch 7 A Tale of Three Intersecting Lines
Working with fractionsPart 1, Ch 8 Working with Fractions
IntegersPart 2, Ch 2 Operations with Integers
HCF and LCMPart 2, Ch 3 Finding Common Ground
Simple equationsPart 2, Ch 7 Finding the Unknown

Part 1 Ch 6 Number Play and the Part 2 chapters Geometric Twins, Connecting the Dots... and Constructions and Tilings are not covered. Every topic in the table has its own entry in the Chapter or topic menu, and some have ready pages, such as the Class 7 integers worksheet and the simple equations worksheet.

A routine that works for Class 7

  1. Class 7, Maths and Mixed revision are already chosen.
  2. With nine topics, 15 questions gives a sample of the book. For a full revision before exams, choose 25 questions.
  3. Medium suits most of the year. Hard uses longer numbers in the large-number questions and a wider range of question kinds in several topics.
  4. Print one sheet, or choose Sets A and B for a tuition batch so two children never share answers.
  5. Keep the answer key on for self-checking at home. Older children can mark their own sheet first, then show you only the ones they got wrong.

Where Class 7 students lose marks

  • Signs when multiplying integers. In (–10) × 10 × (–4), two negatives make the answer positive. Ask students to count the minus signs before they multiply.
  • Supplement and complement. They swap the two often. Supplement goes with 180°, and the word "straight line" helps them remember.
  • Angle pictures with a "?". For vertically opposite and linear pairs, students should first name the rule they are using, then calculate. A correct number with the wrong reason is still a habit to fix.
  • Order of operations. 15 + 4 × 3 is 27, not 57. Matching questions with expressions like this are a quick daily check.
  • Decimal places when subtracting. In 17 – 1.1, writing 17 as 17.0 and lining up the points first avoids wrong answers like 6.

A mixed sheet each weekend keeps Part 1 fresh while the class is busy with Part 2. Use the weekday sheets for the chapter being taught right now. See also the Class 6 and Class 8 maths worksheets.

Frequently asked questions

Does the Class 7 sheet cover Ganita Prakash Part 1 and Part 2?

Yes. The mix draws from seven chapters of Part 1 and four of Part 2, with decimals taken from both parts. Part 1 Ch 6 Number Play and Part 2 Ch 1 Geometric Twins, Ch 5 Connecting the Dots... and Ch 6 Constructions and Tilings are not part of the generator.

Why do some Class 7 questions mention lakh and some mention million?

Big numbers can be named in the Indian system (lakh, crore) or the international one (million, billion), and Class 7 work on Ch 1 Large Numbers Around Us uses both. The sheet writes big numbers with Indian commas, like 14,09,494, and asks true-or-false checks such as whether 1 million equals 1 crore.

What kind of bracket questions are on the Class 7 sheet?

They come from Ch 2 Arithmetic Expressions. Children check whether removing a bracket changes the value, for example whether 29 – (6 + 1) is the same as 29 – 6 – 1, and match expressions like 15 + 4 × 3 with their values, doing multiplication first.

Are simple equations included in the Class 7 mix?

Yes, from Part 2 Ch 7 Finding the Unknown. Expect equations such as 3x + 7 = 25 to solve or match with their answers. For a full sheet on equations, choose Simple equations in the chapter menu or use the simple equations worksheet page.
