Eight Class 5 topics in one mix
Class 5 is the last year of primary school, and the NCERT book Math-Mela covers a lot of ground. The mixed revision sheet on this page is the widest of all the primary classes. It draws from these chapters:
| Topic | Math-Mela chapter |
|---|---|
| 5-digit numbers and place value | Ch 1 We the Travellers–I |
| Adding and subtracting big numbers | Ch 4 We the Travellers–II |
| Multiplication | Ch 6 The Dairy Farm |
| Division | Ch 9 Coconut Farm |
| Fractions | Ch 2 Fractions |
| Factors and multiples | Ch 13 Animal Jumps |
| Perimeter and area | Ch 11 Grandmother's Quilt |
| Angles as turns | Ch 3 Angles as Turns |
The other chapters, such as distances, shapes and patterns, weight and capacity, symmetry, time, maps and data, are not part of the generator. Every chapter above is also in the Chapter or topic menu, so you can make a full sheet on one of them. Factors and multiples has its own ready page: Class 5 factors and multiples worksheet.
Settings that work well
- Class 5, Maths and Mixed revision are already chosen.
- Because there are eight topics, pick 20 or 25 questions when you want each topic to show up.
- On Medium, multiplication is 2-digit by 2-digit and division has a single-digit divisor. Hard moves to 3-digit by 2-digit multiplication and division by a 2-digit number.
- Use 1 sheet for home, or Sets A, B and C for a class.
- Print or save the PDF. You can also save one page as a PNG to share on a phone.
Tips for the last primary year
- Read 5-digit numbers aloud. In 41,677, many children struggle to say "forty-one thousand". Asking them to read every answer aloud catches place value slips early.
- Write the remainder clearly. Word problems about beads on bracelets ask for both a number of bracelets and the beads left over. Children often give only one. Underline "how many are left" in the question.
- Add fractions with the same denominator first. In a pizza problem, 6/12 and 2/12 add to 8/12, which then simplifies. Many children add the denominators too. Draw a pizza cut into twelve to show why that cannot be right.
- Factor or multiple? The two words get swapped all the time. A quick check: factors are never bigger than the number, multiples are never smaller.
- Use the answer key as a teacher, not a judge. When an answer is wrong, ask your child to explain their working before you show the key. You will often find the slip yourself.

Frequently asked questions
Why doesn't every Class 5 sheet have a question from every topic?
The Class 5 mix draws from eight topics, so a 15-question sheet cannot fit all of them each time. Choose 20 or 25 questions for wider coverage, or tap New questions to get a different spread. To focus on one topic, pick it in the Chapter or topic menu.
How are angles asked on the Class 5 sheet?
In the way Ch 3 Angles as Turns teaches them: as turns and right angles, not degrees. Children say whether a drawn angle is a right angle, less than or more than one, and count how many right angles a clock's minute hand turns through.
Does the Class 5 worksheet include perimeter and area?
Yes. Questions from Ch 11 Grandmother's Quilt appear in the mix, such as counting the squares inside a shape on a grid or checking the area of a small rectangle. For a full sheet on it, choose Perimeter and area from the chapter menu.
Can I use this as a Class 5 term test paper?
You can use it for class practice or a mock test. Set 25 questions on Hard, choose Sets A, B and C so neighbours get different papers, and keep the answer key for marking. It is a practice sheet, so check your school's own syllabus for the test.
