A Bhai Dooj greeting with your name on it

Bhai Dooj comes two days after Diwali, and it is one of the few festivals that is entirely about one relationship. Not every brother and sister can be together for the tilak, so a greeting on WhatsApp often carries the wish instead. This page starts the poster maker on Bhai Dooj with the tilak thali design, so you can add your photo and name and send it in a minute.

Ready wording in Hindi and English

The greeting starts as "भाई दूज की हार्दिक शुभकामनाएँ", with "शुभ भाई दूज" and "हैप्पी भाई दूज" one tap away. The small line on top can say "मेरे प्यारे भैया को", "मेरी प्यारी बहना को" or "भाई-बहन के पावन पर्व पर". Messages include:

  • Thank you for always being there for me. Lots of love and blessings on Bhai Dooj.

In Maharashtra the day is called Bhau Beej, and that greeting is in the English list too. Everything is editable, so you can add a nickname, an inside joke or a line in your own language.

Designs made for this day

Tilak thali shows a brass plate with roli, rice, sweets and a small diya under marigold clusters, on a soft peach background. Night is a deep plum with diyas and sparkles. Toran hangs a marigold toran across the top of a light card, and Mandala uses a purple background with a large faint mandala and gold corners. All four are drawn by the tool; there are no stock photos or religious images.

A photo of the two of you

If you have a picture together, choose the arch frame, which is taller than the round one, and zoom out until both faces fit. A childhood photo works nicely too. The background remover can lift you out of a busy room, and it runs on your phone, so the photo is never uploaded.

Sending it

For a WhatsApp chat, the square image is right. For your status, choose 1080 × 1920; the photo and name get more room in the tall layout. The animated GIF makes the diya flames flicker, which looks lovely on a status but is a bigger file than the JPG. If you are sending wishes to many cousins, change the top line and download again for each; your photo and design stay as they are.

The date

The central government's 2026 list of restricted holidays shows Bhai Duj on Wednesday, 11 November 2026. Some families mark it on a different day by their local calendar, so the date stays off the poster unless you tap it or type your own.

Frequently asked questions

When is Bhai Dooj in 2026?

The central government's restricted holiday list for 2026 gives Bhai Duj as Wednesday, 11 November 2026. Local customs can differ by a day, so the date line on the poster is optional.

What should I write in Bhai Dooj wishes for my brother?

Keep it warm and simple, for example 'तिलक का यह पावन पर्व हमारे रिश्ते को और मज़बूत करे। आप सदा स्वस्थ और खुश रहें।' or 'Wishing my dear brother a long, healthy and happy life.' Both are ready to tap in the tool.

Can I add a photo of both of us?

Yes. Upload a photo of you together, choose the arch frame, which is taller than the round one, and drag the photo so both faces sit in the frame.

Can I make it for my sister instead?

Yes. Tap 'मेरी प्यारी बहना को' or 'To my dear sister' as the small line on top, and pick or write a message for her.

Is my photo uploaded?

No. The poster is drawn in your browser and the photo never leaves your phone.
