How to save from the print screen
Android phone (Chrome)
- Tap Save as PDF (selectable text).
- At the top, tap the printer name and pick Save as PDF.
- Tap the round PDF button, choose a folder such as Downloads and tap Save.
iPhone or iPad (Safari)
- Tap Save as PDF (selectable text). The Print Options screen opens.
- Tap the Share button at the top of that screen.
- Choose Save to Files and pick a folder.
Computer (Chrome, Edge, Firefox)
- Click Save as PDF (selectable text).
- Set Destination (or Printer) to Save as PDF or Microsoft Print to PDF.
- Keep margins at Default or None and scale at 100%, untick Headers and footers, then click Save.
Three ways to make a PDF from a Word file
"Word file ko PDF kaise banaye" is one of the most common questions from students, job seekers and office staff, because forms and portals ask for PDF while documents are typed in Word. There is no single right way: it depends on whether you have MS Word, Google Docs or just a phone. Here are the three methods, from quickest to most traditional.
Method 1: on this page (mobile, laptop or computer)
This works on any device with a modern browser, even if Word is not installed.

Method 2: in MS Word on a laptop or computer
If Word is installed, it can save a PDF itself. Microsoft describes the steps on its Save or convert to PDF page:
- Open the document and go to File.
- Choose Save As or Save a Copy, then pick a folder.
- In the file type list, choose PDF and click Save.
Word on an iPhone or iPad has a similar option under File › Export › PDF.
Method 3: in Google Docs
Google Docs can open a Word file and download it as PDF. Upload the .docx to Google Drive, open it with Google Docs, then use File › Download and pick PDF, as described on the Google Docs help page. This needs a Google account and an internet connection, and the file is stored in your Drive.

Common mistakes
- Not checking pages: a resume meant to be one page can spill onto two. Look at the page count before saving.
- Browser headers on the PDF: when printing from a computer, untick Headers and footers so the date and web address are not added.
- File too big for the portal: use Compress PDF after converting.
