Sample science project cover page with the school name, project title and student details

A4 pages, ready to print and put in your project file. The Word file lets you change anything. Your details are saved in this browser only.

A neat front page in a minute

The cover page is the first thing your teacher sees, and a clean one makes the whole file look cared for. Hand-drawn borders and decorated titles take an evening; this page makes a printed A4 cover from a few details. It works for any subject: science, social science, English, Hindi, maths, computer or physical education.

The tool opens with the four front pages most schools ask for: the cover, the certificate, the acknowledgement and the index. Untick the ones you don't need, or tick more pages if you want the full project write-up too.

What to fill in

  • School name: the full name as it appears on your ID card, with the city if there are several branches.
  • Project title: short and clear, such as "Rainwater Harvesting" or "Lemon Battery That Lights an LED". It prints in large letters in the middle of the cover.
  • Your name, class and section, roll number: exactly as on the school register.
  • Subject and teacher: the subject appears on the cover and in the certificate; the teacher's name goes on the cover and under their signature line.
  • Session: the academic year, such as 2026-27.

If you leave a detail empty, it prints as a line so you can write it by hand.

Each design comes in seven colours. Pick one that matches your file folder or the subject.

The other front pages

Certificate. A short statement that you completed the project under your teacher's guidance during the session, with signature lines for the subject teacher and the examiner or principal. Only your teacher should sign it.

Acknowledgement. A thank-you note to your teacher, principal, parents and friends. Leave the box empty for a standard version that uses your teacher's and school's names, or write your own.

Index. A table of contents with serial numbers, page numbers and a remarks column for the teacher. When you add the write-up pages, the page numbers are filled in automatically from the printed layout; otherwise it lists the certificate and acknowledgement and leaves the other rows empty for you to fill by hand.

Printing tips

  • Print the cover on thicker paper or glossy sheet if the school allows; it holds up better in a spiral binding.
  • Print at "Actual size" on A4 so the border isn't cut off.
  • Download the Word file if you want to change the wording, add a school logo or adjust spacing.
  • Keep a PDF copy on your phone in case a page gets damaged before submission.

Frequently asked questions

What should be written on a project file cover page?

The school's name, the subject, the project title, your name, class and section, roll number, the teacher it is submitted to, and the session, such as 2026-27. Keep the title large and everything else short.

Can I use this cover page for subjects other than science?

Yes. Change the Subject box to English, Social Science, Hindi, Maths, Computer, Physical Education or any other subject, and it appears on the cover and the certificate.

How do I write the acknowledgement for a project file?

Thank your subject teacher by name for guidance, your principal and school for the opportunity, and your parents and friends for their help. Leave the box empty and the tool writes a standard acknowledgement like this for you.

What is written on the certificate page?

A short statement that you completed the project under your teacher's guidance in a given session, with lines for the teacher's and examiner's or principal's signatures. Your teacher signs it, not you.

Can I leave fields blank and write by hand?

Yes. Any blank detail prints as a line, so you can write your name or roll number neatly by hand after printing.
